VW stopped production of its legendary Kombi campervan
Production of the legendary Volkswagen (VW) "Combined" campervan ground to a halt on Friday as Brazil - the last country on the vehicles - moves to implement stricter auto safety regulations.

May all be not for fans of the 1960s icon, but lost amid reports that Brazil's Finance Minister will seek an exception from the rules for the "hippie-van".

The station wagon was produced in Brazil since 1957 so the longest established model in automotive history.
