Ford recalls vehicles of fuel leaks

WASHINGTON-Ford Motor Company on Wednesday reminded about 35,000 pickup trucks and crossover vehicles in the United States and Canada because of the potential fuel leaks and electrical shorts, which can cause fires.

Ford said the recall includes about 25,000 2010 Ranger pickups and includes the fixing potential problems with the fuel line, which can cause a fuel leak and a fire.

Ford is separately, whereas on more than 9,000 trucks and crossovers, to fix a software problem, which could lead to a short circuit and overheating, making a fire. The callback is 2011 model year the Ford Edge and the Lincoln MKX converted crossovers and the Ford F150 F250 F350, F450, F550 truck.

Ford said that no recall, had been reported fires or injuries in the Ranger the pickups includes built from mid-October 2009 to mid-May 2010. The callback with the edge and F-series trucks are vehicles built from October 25, 2010-November 20, 2010. Both will start beginning of March.
