Is smart car, shopping and patriotic

If you want to support the American auto worker, you must purchase necessarily a Ford or a Chevy.

Consumer has reported a handy list shows how many cars models each automaker collected - the foreign - to build up in the United States.


As an added bonus, the consumer watchdog tells you how many of this U.S. built models it is recommended, so buyers can get both American workers to support and a good number of wheels.


Just look at brands, Ford and Chevrolet build most cars in the United States each, with 12 U.S.-built models. Of which consumer reports recommends six Fords and five Chevrolet. Only a U.S.-built model, the 200 has of the Chrysler brand and consumer reports is not recommended.


But if you brand families, General Motors - their brands-Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC - include clearer emphasis in American automotive engineering with 27 U.S.-built models. Consumer reports recommends 11 of them.


Not US car manufacturers offer a variety of decisions, as well as. Toyota is building nine models here, and eight are recommended. Consumer reports recommend also six of the eight models, the Honda here builds.


The data are based on 2011 models in the United States sold. To compile the data, trimming consumer reports considered categories instead of counting each one separately wide model.
