Honda Recalling 2.5 million cars, SUV

DETROIT - Honda is recalling 2.49 million cars, small SUVs and vans, including his popular accord sedan, to fix a software problem that automatic transfer could be damaged.

The recall includes 1.5 million vehicles in the United States, 760,000 in China and 135,142 in Canada, which automakers said Friday.


Globally, the recall of four-cylinder accord concerns limousines for 2005-2010 model years.


The company is also referring to vehicles in parts of Europe, Middle East, South America, Mexico and Puerto Rico. The callback sold Hondas in Japan home market with no effect on the vehicles.
