Production electric vehicle triple Ford

STERLING HEIGHTS, Michigan - Ford Motor Co plans to triple its production of electric vehicles, including hybrid, at an annual rate of 100,000 to 2013, the number two US car manufacturers said Thursday.

The company plans to 220 jobs at plants in Michigan, build the new vehicles, including a plug-in electric version, that it plans, call the C-Max Add.


At an event announcement said the News Jim Farley, the company's global head of marketing and sales, he "U.S. was encouraging sales performance of Ford's in June," which have improved since May.
