October auto sales: General Motors

DETROIT - General Motors co. said Friday that its October US sales grew 15.7 percent, led by the Chevrolet Silverado Pickup and the midsize Malibu car.

BY the numbers: It said the Detroit-based automaker 226.402 cars and trucks a year previously sold in the last month of the 195.764.

TOP seller: Silverado sales 10.1 percent to 42.660. Malibu sales rose 63.5 percent to 15.746.

HOT MODELS: Cadillac ATS small sport sedan, whose Umsätze doubled over to 2,782. Sales of the new Chevrolet more than to 3.929 tripled Corvette.
