Ford recalls new Explorer for seat problem

DETROIT - Ford Motor Co. is reminiscent of more than 1,600 just built Explorer for a security issue with the second row.

Ford said that in an application with federal safety regulators, the seats in a crash can provide the required strength.


The recall affects 2011 model year Ford Explorer made between July and December last year.

The new Explorer, which is built in Chicago and was launched end of 2010 in life, is an important new tool for the Ford.
