Ford recalls 485,000 small SUVs to fix throttles

Ford is almost 485.000 escapes reminds and apply paste Mavericks gas pedals, which can cause crashes.

The worldwide recall concerns the 2001 to 2004 model years that are powered with 3-liter V-6-engines with cruise control. It comes more than a week after U.S. safety regulators began the small SUV escape.

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has 68 complaints about the problem, including 13 crashes, nine injured and one dead. A young girl died in the January crash of flight in Arizona.

Ford says cable hooks on the plastic cover on the engine of the cruise control and can the gas pedal stick. Dealer replace the motor cover fasteners and increase the salaries to make more room.
