GM, Chrysler employee bonuses get

DETROIT - most of the 26,000 employees at General Motors co. get your salaries this year but payments to a small number could incentives from 4 to 16 percent 50 percent or more, the company confirmed late Thursday.

Chrysler spokesman Gualberto Ranieri would be the matter do not comment. Premiums would average $10,000 for 10,755 employees of the company, but some that are covered by Government pay restrictions could up to half of their salary, Bloomberg News reported Thursday.

GM said in his statement that more than 96 percent of workers receive bonuses from 4 to 16 percent of their base salary. Less than 1 percent, the company said will receive 50 percent or more. Bonus sizes grow per one employee's level of responsibility.

GM said its top 100 earners are still covered Government pay restrictions on undertaking received State aid. Chrysler's top earners also affected but a number that was not available Thursday night.
